Andrew Maza is the VP of Clinical Affairs at Forest Devices, a medical device startup working to improve the lives of stroke victims by developing pre-hospital tools for early and accurate triage. Responsible for managing their clinical trials, Andrew works closely with clinicians, research staffs, hospital administrators, and IRBs while also supervising a partner CRO and Imaging Core Lab. He has led their trial design, ensuring regulatory compliance and successful clinical implementation, as well as its expansion by establishing new partnerships.
Andrew first came to Forest Devices as a Clinical Coordinator and later assumed the role of Director of Clinical Operations before his recent transition to VP of Clinical Affairs. Prior to joining the team, Andrew conducted research at UPMC in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department, where he studied the inflammatory response of post-traumatic brain injury patients, primarily focusing on sepsis and post-traumatic epilepsy.
