Seema Rego - Director Genomics Programs & Clinical Management, Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego
With 18 years medical device and bioscience industry experience behind her belt, Dr. Seema Rego’s passion has always been advancing the understanding of genetics. She received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from the University of North Texas and held senior executive roles at Illumina, Cepheid and Roka Biosciences prior to joining Rady Children’s Institute for Genomic Medicine, embedded within Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego, the 6th largest children’s hospital in the U.S., this year. 
 
Based on her versatile background and first-hand knowledge of both supplier’s and customer’s pain points, challenges and opportunities, Seema offers a unique perspective on how industry stakeholder collaboration can be elevated to the next level to improve human health through:
 
-Advancing rapid whole genome sequencing in acute care settings
